LinkMedics doctors successfully onboarded and start their FY1 placements at Isle of Wight NHS

The Isle of Wight NHS Trust has recently welcomed a new cohort of doctors to their Trust as part of the LinkMedics NHS Induction Programme. This is a significant development for the Trust, which has faced challenges in recruiting and retaining medical professionals due to its unique and remote location.

Our NHS Induction Programme is designed to help address the shortage of doctors in the UK by allowing doctors who have completed their medical training outside of the UK to work in the NHS while they undergo additional training and support to meet the standards required for registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).

The Isle of Wight NHS Trust is the newest partner Trust for the LinkMedics programme, and their selection as a partner reflects the Trust’s commitment to improving patient care and outcomes through innovation and collaboration. The Trust’s location, far from mainland UK, has presented new challenges in recruiting and retaining medical professionals, making our programme even more crucial for the Trust.

Our NHS Induction programme will help the Trust to overcome these challenges by providing additional training and support to the doctors to help them adjust to their new environment and to develop their skills and expertise.
